My journey into painting and decorating began at Chesterfield College, where I studied and achieved City & Guilds Painting and Decorating Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications.
During my time at college, I also gained valuable site experience working on new-build properties, learning alongside experienced decorators and developing the practical skills required to deliver professional finishes.
After completing my training, I began taking on smaller decorating jobs independently. Over time, through consistent workmanship and word-of-mouth recommendations, the work steadily grew.
For the first three years, I worked solo, focusing on building trust with customers and developing a reputation for careful preparation and quality finishes.
As the business grew, I decided it was time to create a brand that truly reflected my passion for the trade. PrimeEdge Decor was established to represent that commitment to professional standards, preparation-led decorating and attention to detail.
Since launching PrimeEdge Decor, the business has continued to grow, and what started as a one-person operation has now expanded into a small team of two, allowing us to take on more projects while maintaining the same level of care and workmanship.
